Jennifer Connelly - Fake Lashes Top & Bottom

Did you see how great Jennifer Connelly looked in the Aug / 2007 / In Style Magazine Page 259? Jennifer Connelly's makeup artist Genevieve, put Artificial Eyelashes on the top and bottom lashes! This is a fabulous look for an party, wedding, or just to look totally glam! Putting on bottom eyelashes is easy to do, too! Apply a single coat of mascara to the bottom lashes only as a fill in. Then attach one flare lash with a small amount of glue, to the outer edge of your bottom eyelashes. You may only need to apply 2 or 3 flare lashes. Now you have the Hollywood Look Of Lashes!

My friend's mother puts on fake eyelashes for people and told me not to do it, because I will lose my real eyelashes. And eventually lose my permanent ones. Is that true? I really want to get eyelash extensions, but I'm afraid I might lose my real ones and I don't want that to happen.

And this kit only lasts up to 15 days?

Your friends' mother is partly right about losing your own lashes. There are some extremely strong glues on the market, some have Crazy Glue in their formulas. I have tested many brands on myself and my closest friends. Some were too strong and irritating. And if you tried to take them off, you would be pulling your own eyelashes off as well. These glues were not suitable for applying lashes to yourself at home. Some glues must be removed by a professionally trained esthetician. I have put together a glue that has no formaldehyde or Crazy glue. It is a hair bonding glue with a latex base. It can be easily be removed with baby oil or any other oil-based cleanser.

Do you put these extensions on your eyelashes(when you get it done) or above your eyelashes? And how long does it last... 6 weeks?

You will put the eyelash extensions right on top of your own lashes. The glue will only bond hair together. The eyelash glue will not adhere to the skin. The extensions will last about 3 weeks.

I have very few lower lashes....how can I attach to extensions to them without it looking too obvious?

Also, I had a salon technician attach extensions to both lower and upper lashes. These caused my eyelid area to be very itchy. The way she sealed the lashes made them look like they had mascara on all the time....but it also made them prone to collect dust and become dirty very quickly. Can they be attached without the sealant?

I am sorry to say, but you really don't have any options. If you have no lower lashes then you can't attach the extensions. You are right about the extensions collecting dust and looking dull. My only suggestion is to use a Q-tip with a little water on it and gently wipe off the lash extensions. I don't think the sealant attracted the dust not unless the sealant was permanently sticky.
