Makeup School - Learn From One Of The Best

I had a chance to stop by and tour the Vancouver Film School for Makeup. I met with Charles Porlier, who has been a makeup artist for nearly 30 years. He and I worked together on one of the biggest budget feature films of its time "Mission To Mars". We spent a summer (2000), working with great actors such as Tim Robbins, Gary Sinise, and Jerry O'Connell.
Charles has created a fabulous institute for up coming Makeup Artists , who want to achieve the highest form of makeup techniques in film making. In the past 4 years, he has changed a local Film School into a world renowned Technical Institute. VFS Makeup Design Program for Film & Television receives hundreds of applicants a year but only a few, 16 to be exact, per class, will be interviewed and then chosen by Charles to experience and learn Makeup Artistry for Film. This year, the makeup class has students from Japan, Greece, U.K., California, New York and Canada. From the airbrush/ beauty makeup, to computer labs for facial reconstruction, to body casting stations, to ventilated FX rooms, this school has the creative edge.

Hey, Kandace!
It's 2008 now...your blog readers, like me, are wondering "where are you?"

I've wondered too: "whose eyes are those in your eyelash ad photos on your website and blog? Just curious.

Hey, it's a slow start in 2008. But I'm ready to get back. You asked who's eye are featured. Well, it's a close girlfriend of mine. She once modeled in Europe and Japan. Later, she modeled for my clothing line throughout the late 80' and early 90's. That's when Madonna wear was popular. I had designed a line of rubberized corsets that were for clubwear and wild party nights. It was all the rage, back then!
